We have long dreamed of what the Lord might provide for us to be our church planting hub. Our new location is far beyond what we could have ever imagined in terms of its strategic location and opportunity to reach our city. (We are excited to partner with you to make this gospel vision a reality in our city for God's glory.)???- Pastor Dayton

Moving to 301

Highway 301 cuts through the heart of our state and the heart of our city. With a desire to see our city changed and our stated impacted, through the planting of gospel-centered churches, it is fitting that our future home will be on 301. We will move to the heart of our city where 37,000 cars pass our location every day. Averaging 1.5 people per car, this means we have the ability to generate 53,250 impressions every single day. It is our prayer that this location will enable us to better reach our city, to build lasting community, lead to flourishing among our neighbors, make disciples, and plant churches.

We need to be prepared to move by the first day of 2025. In order to do this, we are trusting the Lord to provide $903,000 by December 31, 2024.

This total amount includes $375,000 (normal giving for mission and ministry) + $528,000 of additional giving for our move to 301.

To accomplish this goal, we need to average $301,000 in giving per month for October, November, December.

To break this down, we need 301 people to give $1000 per month OR 1000 people to give $301 per month.

Our Vision

Build Lasting Community
As a church deeply committed to growing individuals and families in their love and service of God and others, we find ourselves at a major crossroads. We find ourselves needing more space to serve our ministries to kids and students, to accommodate our Redeemer Institute classes for men and women; and to have adequate capacity for worship with our families and friends.
Flourishing Neighbors
The Bible opens with an account of human beings flourishing in the presence of God. Sin has broken the story that began so beautifully. Now, one of the ways we put the gospel on display is to picture the kinds of human flourishing that exists in God's kingdom by loving our neighbors well. This new facility will enable us to welcome more people from our city and to provide a strategic location for our community partners who seek to serve the city in meaningful ways.
Make Disciples
People are the mission. We want to invest in men and women and deploy them to reach those around them. Since we launched the Redeemer Institute in 2019, it has been our vision to regularly equip believers with the tools needed to engage and disciple people in their lives. The increase of classroom capacity in our new location will enable us to provide more consistent classes to equip our church.
Plant Churches
We want to grow our seating capacity so that we can grow our sending capacity. We want to create room to grow, so that we can call upon people to go plant churches throughout North Carolina. Over the next fifteen years, by God's grace, we intend to plant congregations in Wilson, Tarboro, Roanoke Rapids, and other small towns in our region. Additionally, we want to better serve the Spanish speaking population in our community by planting Redeemer en Español.

FUTURE PHASE: EXPAND

Continue to develop the interior of our new building to include a worship center that will seat 1000+ people at a time.

FAQ

What is the timeline of moving to 301?
While this is a somewhat fluid thing, we feel confident we will be able to have Easter 2025 in our new space and hopefully be able to move in even sooner than that.

What is the cost to get into the 301 building?
We need $301k per month in the last 3 months of 2024 for a total of $903k.

Who is doing construction?
We are using a local commercial design build firm called Smithson Inc.

What is the square footage of the building?
The total building is 36,000 sq ft. Phase 1 will build out approximately 20,000 sq ft of it.

What will the building's capacity be?
Phase 1 will be able to hold 600 people in the worship center. Future phases include a worship center that can house over 1,000 people.

Who do I contact with questions about 301?
The best way to get your questions answered is by sending an email to: building@redeemerchurch.com

What other alternative solutions were considered before we settled on moving locations?
We spent a considerable amount of time exploring a large addition to our 2020 Old Mill Rd facility, but new construction costs have almost quadrupled since we finished that facility in 2019. With wise council from our building team, we began to explore new facilities in Rocky Mount we could renovate. We quickly zeroed in on 940 N Wesleyan as it was one of the only facilities with the right price, space, and capacity. By God's grace, it also had 5 acres for sale adjacent to it.

Where will overflow parking be?
This location is strategically amidst many of the main market places of our city. The surrounding businesses Target and Mattress Warehouse have agreed to let us park on their lots during Sunday morning services.  Depending on how much many we are able to raise, we plan to purchase shuttles to help get people from these farther parking spaces more easily.

Will there be a kids playground in the Phase 1 build out?
Phase 1 does not include a kids playground. Depending on how much money the church is able to raise, we hope to quickly build this out for our growing number of kids at Redeemer.

Are we using members’ expertise in this project?
Yes, a building team was assembled of construction, real estate, and AV professionals.

How do I give to 301?
Look for the giving link up higher on this page! All gifts given to Redeemer Church will go towards 301.
