Scott Brewer, Founding and Lead Pastor
Scott and his wife, Koni, founded Redeemer Church in the winter of 2009. Redeemer Church began with two families. God filled their hearts with a belief and a call that He was leading and empowering them to reach the Greater Alliance Area with His love, found through Jesus Christ. Zechariah 4:10 says, “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin…” God’s sovereign plan was for Redeemer Church to humbly begin with the belief that God could bring great things out of small beginnings; and that He could build a church that didn’t exist to bless its self, but to bless its city.
Faith in God’s power and sovereignty to bring about great things is a core value that Redeemer Church is founded upon and a core value for Scott and his family. From the beginning of Scott and Koni’s decade of marriage they have experienced the beauty and strength of God’s power through the loss of a child, severely asthmatic children who have been in and out of hospitals most of their lives, the successful removal of a brain tumor, walking away from a steady paycheck to become church planters, and planting a church with very little.
Today, Scott and Koni are enjoying watching God’s power and sovereignty at work at Redeemer Church. They tell us with enthusiasm, “We continue to believe that God is good, great, glorious, and gracious, and that He is calling us as a church to call all people to the ‘Redemptive Wholeness’ that is found in Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all, and experience His goodness, greatness, glory, and grace no matter their circumstances, struggles, failures, or past!”
Scott is a visionary leader who loves people and deeply desires God’s best and wholeness for them. He is a practical teacher who diligently seeks God’s grace to teach the Bible in a way that is relevant and leads to life-change for other’s good and to the glory of God. Koni is a true servant, who also loves people and administers the love and goodness of God throughout the church. Scott and Koni have a daughter and a son, and as a family they enjoy eating at Mooyah in Southlake, playing sports, watching movies, traveling, reading, and most of all serving and loving people for the glory of God.

Ryan Bradley, Director for Students
Ryan and his wife, Kate, joined the Redeemer family in January 2010. They have a passion for discipling and investing in others, especially students. Through student ministries, they have been blessed to see young believers grow closer to Jesus Christ. Ryan and Kate strive to live their lives as an example of God’s love towards others, demonstrating the essence of 1 Thessalonians 2:8, “ We loved you so much that we desired to share not only the gospel of our God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.”
Ryan and Kate met in Denton, Texas, where they both graduated from the University of North Texas. They were married in 2008 and began their journey of laughing together, loving others, and serving the church. They have seen God’s faithfulness and sovereignty reflected in their marriage as they have waited for Him to lead them and direct their hearts in ministry. Ryan and Kate now live in Roanoke with their new baby girl, Eva.
Ryan enjoys spending time with junior high and high school students – whether that means teaching Scripture, playing paintball, carving pumpkins, or enjoying some frozen yogurt! He believes that students’ lives are most impacted through relational ministry. It is his desire to develop students to be living examples of Christ to their families, friends, and world for the glory of God.
When not engaging in student ministry, Ryan and Kate enjoy cheering on the Texas Rangers, playing board games, and going to the theatre. They love to travel when they get the opportunity and hope to see more of the awesome places God has created. Kate is happiest when Ryan makes her laugh, and Ryan is happiest when Kate is laughing!

Bryan Buchleiter, Director for Redeemer Communities
Bryan Buchleiter, along with his wife Meryal, began serving with Redeemer Church in the summer of 2011. Both of them have served in community focused, relationship based ministries together since before they were even married. They moved to the Alliance area in 2006 as part of a pilot program with Apartment Life Ministries. Married for thirteen years, they have seen God prove Himself to be faithful in the many challenges that life can bring.
With a strong background in production and project management as well as in ministry, Bryan is excited about seeing Redeemer Church grow in its presence and impact on the Alliance region. He also desires to help the church grow deeper by facilitating Christ-centered relationships in various communities with-in the church body. Meryal has a heart for hospitality and a contagious joy about her. She can usually be found at the media center computer on Sunday mornings.
“I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for the salvation of all who believe…” (Romans 1:16). Bryan memorized that verse in High School while serving with Young Life and it has been a driving force in his life ever since. He is motivated by the liberating truth found only in Jesus Christ while resting daily on the Holy Spirit for peace and strength; not only in his work for the church, but also as a husband, father and member of the community.
The Buchleiters enjoy spending time with their three kids, while sneaking away for a dinner and movie date as often as possible! Bryan also enjoys being outside. He can often be found keeping his bow tuned up at the local archery range or finding a remote spot in the woods to escape for a few moments.
