This week Karen taught our kids that some of the disciples and other people that knew Jesus were confused by His death—by the way things turned out. They read about how Jesus joined two guys walking on the road to Emmaus. And later at dinner, when Jesus broke bread, they realize who He was and what had happened. (Luke 24:13-35, Romans 15:4). Bottom Line: Whatever happens, remember God has a bigger story.

Redeemer Chruch has been invited to partner with World Relief and the Tea House to help with an Easter Celebration community outreach event. See below for more details:

From the WR Facebook page:

· Saturday, March 31st, World Relief will be hosting an EASTER FESTIVAL at La Dera Palms! Our goal for this celebration will be to explain the reason we observe the Easter holiday and the story behind it while involving church partners and volunteers. We wish to see face painting, balloon animals, Easter basket decorating, the introduction of the Easter story, and a HUGE Easter egg hunt around the property. If you would like more information or would like to sign up to help with an activity email Christina at chinson@wr.org!

(Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/worldrelieffortworth )

The TEA House will be providing a Game booth and telling the EASTER story in six stations.

Volunteers from Redeemer could help by:

· We need 12 people who are interested in being a story teller — very short and simple segments that will tell the Easter Story. I’ve included the Easter Story document, so that volunteers can see what would be expected of them when they tell the story. I believe it will be from 10am-12pm (something like that). We will have two people who will be assigned a specific segment of the Easter story. The story tellers will take turns telling their segment of the story to small groups of people/children as people approach to hear that segment of the story.

· Cheryl has some great ideas for a game booth called “Minute to Win It”. Volunteers could help with that booth and/or gathering supplies needed.

· Donation of small prizes for the game booth and a prize for listening to the complete Easter Story.

They talked about the hand writing on the wall…, and even put Wayne in potting soil all so they could learn that it is better to stand out then blend in! “You can stand for what’s right, even when it’s not popular.”
