Attachment April Week #3

This week Karen taught our kids that some of the disciples and other people that knew Jesus were confused by His death—by the way things turned out. They read about how Jesus joined two guys walking on the road to Emmaus. And later at dinner, when Jesus broke bread, they realize who He was and what had happened. (Luke 24:13-35, Romans 15:4). Bottom Line: Whatever happens, remember God has a bigger story.

Attachment April Week 1

Attachment PC April

This week through the Bible story (John 14:1-14, 18-19, 27-29), Katie, Rob, and Molly taught our kids about the time Jesus talked to His closest friends with whom He had done ministry for the last few years. These were some of the last words they’d hear Him say and they were about heaven and being together again someday. Bottom Line: Whatever happens, remember what Jesus promised.

I hope you each have  a great week! We look forward sharing Easter Sunday with you soon!

Attachment March Week #4

This week Mary Lou and Alice shared with our kids about the time Daniel ended up in the worst situation yet—the Lions’ Den (Daniel 6)—because he disobeys and continues to pray like he had his whole life. Bottom Line: Get in the habit of standing for what’s right. They highlighted how we too can be known for our faith if we take time to Dialogue with God.

Please take time this week to enjoy the attachment with your little one and continue to dialogue with God together! Have a great week!

Attachment March Week #3

This week Wayne and Karen taught our kids about the time Daniel was put on the spot and had to tell the king something terrible but true, in the middle of a party (Daniel 5). They talked about the hand writing on the wall…, and even put Wayne in potting soil all so they could learn that it is better to stand out then blend in! “You can stand for what’s right, even when it’s not popular.”

I hope you will take time this week to continue this conversation and ask your little ones about their time on Sunday!

Have a great week,

Attachment March Week #2

This week with Jillian and I, the heat was turned up, silly string and all! Daniel’s three friends (Isabella, Ella, Kyla) choose not to worship anyone other than their God (Blake was our statue), even if it meant dying in a fiery furnace (Ragsdale’s tent) (Daniel 3). We learned, Bottom Line: When you stand for what’s right, others can see God. We talked about how we can Worship God with our Lives by doing what is right so others can see God in us.

I hope you will take time this week to enjoy the attachment and continue learning together!

Attachment March week #1

This week Katie talked with our kids about how Daniel was trained in Babylon with his three friends (Daniel 1). Bottom Line: When you know what God says, you can stand for what’s right. Daniel had studied God’s Word and was able to apply it when the time came. We want our kids, like ourselves, to be able to do the same! Please take time this week to enjoy the attachments together and talk with your little one about times they have stood up for what was right!

Have a great week,

Attachment Feb Week #4

This week Shelise and Mary Lou helped our kids discover that another way to show honor is through worship. In some cultures, dancing is a special way of expressing honor to someone important. In this Bible story, King David is so excited that the ark of the covenant—and God’s presence—is finally coming to his city, that he dances on and off the whole way there! (2 Samuel 6:12b-22a) He dances out of his joy, for an audience of One—not caring what others might think.

Please take time to enjoy the attachmnts with your little ones this week and ask them to show you their happy dance! =)

Have a great week,

Attachment Feb Week #3

This week our kids discovered, with Robert and Katie, that it’s important to honor the people in charge of you. If you don’t and you dishonor them, it usually doesn’t end well. Often, people get hurt. Just ask King David’s son, Absalom. He rebels because he thinks he’d make a better king (2 Samuel 15:1-16a, 18:5-7, 15, 31-33).

His dad tried to protect him, but the natural consequences of showing dishonor led to a real tragedy. That’s why it’s best to “Honor those who are over you.”

Please take time this week to enjoy the attachments with your children and continue to grow with them!

May the Lord bless your time together,

Attachment Feb Week #2

Mia and I had a great time teaching your children more about Honor this week! This week we discovered that honor can be shown between friends. Our Bible story, introduced us to the current king, Saul, and his son, Jonathan. We looked at their two very different responses to David’s role in their lives and his rising popularity (1 Samuel 18:1-4 & 5-9). Our challenge this week is to Honor others more than ourselves.

Please take time this week to share the attachments with your little ones! Read 1 Samuel 18:1-4, 5-9 and ask them some questions! You may be surprised at all they know! =)

Have a great week!

Attachment Feb. Week #1   Attachment Feb. Parent Cue

This week Wayne and Karen started our kids on our new focus for the month of February, HONOR. They looked at how God choose the next king from an unexpected place (1 Samuel 16:1-13). They talked about how God doesn’t see as the world sees; He looks at the heart instead. Then our children were challenged to look for ways to “Honor those who are overlooked.” If you were not able to be with us this week we hope you can join us this coming Sunday! Until then here are our weekly attachments so you can learn along with your kids and help them continue to grow in wisdom about true HONOR.

Have a great week,
